Our Story

Some things are just in your blood.

For the Guptill family, balsam is one of them. Born and raised in Washington County — the heart of Maine's wreath-making country — both Erik and Erin grew up surrounded by the industry in one form or another. The smell of fresh balsam fir, the rhythm of wrapping tips onto a ring, the quiet pride of watching a pile of branches become something beautiful. It was always part of life here.

But for Erik, it was more than a memory. It was a dream.

When a friend called to say Maine Made Christmas was for sale, they didn't hesitate. They knew the business, they knew the craft, and they knew exactly what it meant to be part of something people looked forward to every single year. The chance to carry that tradition forward — to be a part of so many families' Christmas mornings — was too meaningful to pass up.

Their first season brought something they didn't quite expect: the whole family in the wreath shop together. Working, laughing, making memories right alongside the wreaths they were making for yours. It's the kind of thing that reminds you why you took the leap in the first place.

What that means for you

When you order from Maine Made Christmas, you're not buying from a warehouse or a fulfillment center. You're buying from a family that grew up doing this — one that understands what it means to send something handcrafted into someone else's home during the most meaningful time of year. Every wreath that leaves our shop is made with that in mind.

We want your experience with us — from the moment you place your order to the moment it arrives at your door — to be as good as what's inside the box.

Welcome to Maine Made Christmas. We're glad you're here.
